We are Scott and Sarah Hendrix, high school sweethearts and parents to Theo (17mo). We live on a little ranch property in San Juan Capistrano, Ca.

ABOUT US

Scott is currently working at Stego Industries, where he has worked as an IT Manager for the last 11+ years. Sarah is primarily a mother now, but had a career as a visual artist (including graphic design, event planning, design & styling, digital marketing & photography) and musician with a focus on singing/songwriting. As hobbies, Scott is a runner, drummer and woodworker. Sarah enjoys writing, interior design, art and of course, music.

Theo is the newest addition to our family, he is almost 18mo on Aug 14. He is a sweet, gentle child with a engineer mind! He loves trash trucks, building things, taking care of the garden and kicking the ball around the yard. He is an observer and likes to take things slowly. He recently has expressed interest in large dog breeds and was saddened by the passing of Scott’s family dog during covid. We strongly believe is he ready to be a big brother to a canine family member now that he can communicate and knows how to lovingly handle a dog. Really all Theo wants is a dog to cuddle with!

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a large breed dog to join our family. We have chosen a Great Dane because of their personalities, loyalty and because they are (typically) great with children and have a low prey drive. We are looking for a large cuddle bug that just wants to be a part of everything. Our .25 acre property includes a large front area and a backyard with grass. We live on a private road that gives us access to trails and parks as well as a private goat farm and an equestrian center next door! There is a lot for this pup to see!

Although we have become homebodies since quarantine, typically we are an active family and would love to include our new dog on walks, short hikes (with a toddler, everything is much shorter!), kicking a soccer ball around in the local fields, etc.

Our new pup must be ok with our 2 year old cat, Sparrow, who is very friendly and has gotten along well with dogs we have watched in the past.
